Sparrows "chirp chirp chirp chirp" Sparrows live around us every day. They often chatter cheerfully and hop freely by the roadside, in the fields, in the courtyards, or even near the windows. They always live around humans but maintain a considerable distance, unwilling to get too close. This may be because humans have long mistreated these little sparrows.
Snow has fallen for several days, covering the ground with white. At this time, if you clear a clean spot in the courtyard and scatter some rice grains, a group of sparrows will soon chirp and flutter down. Sparrows can be seen all year round. In cities, villages, the south, the north, plains, and hills, you can find traces of sparrows everywhere. Sparrows are small in size, with brown backs striped in black and grayish-white bellies. Their beaks are short. They prefer to fly in groups. Sparrows are not picky eaters. Grass seeds, grains, insects, and leftover rice are all their food.
Although sparrows sometimes steal ripe grains, they also prey on harmful insects in the fields and peck at the seeds of weeds, helping to balance crop yields. Sparrows also like to live in cities. However, sparrows in cities are sometimes killed in large numbers. We should protect these happy little birds that live around us. Because, the world is ours, and it is also theirs. P1-2
