Features: During China's transition from a planned economy to a market economy, a prominent feature has been the rise of family businesses. Numerous studies have shown that the sustained, rapid, and healthy development of family businesses is one of the key drivers maintaining China's continuous economic growth. Currently, Chinese family businesses in the entrepreneurship and growth stages predominantly adopt the classical organizational form of family businesses, where ownership and management are combined. As China's socialist market economy system gradually establishes and improves, how the classical organizational form of family businesses should develop and evolve is an urgent issue research. The theme of this book is to study the organizational evolution of Chinese family businesses during the transition period, explore the various factors influencing this evolution and their mechanisms of action, thereby providing theoretical support for the transformation of Chinese family businesses into modern corporate systems and their networked growth during the transition period, and offering relevant policy recommendations to further promote the healthy development of Chinese family businesses. To this end, this book primarily conducts the following work. First, it summarizes and reviews the basic theories and new theoretical achievements regarding organizational evolution. Second, it analyzes the current development and evolution of Chinese family businesses during the transition period. Third, it systematically explores the fundamental factors influencing the organizational evolution of Chinese family businesses during the transition period and their mechanisms of action. Fourth, through case analyses of DL Group and the Wenzhou Liushi Low-Voltage Electrical Appliance Industry Cluster, the research in this book is made specific and empirical. Fifth, in response to the actual conditions faced by Chinese family businesses during the transition period, such as underdeveloped external markets, low levels of social trust, and imperfect internal governance structures, the book proposes policy recommendations to further regulate government behavior, establish and improve a social and legal environment that promotes the healthy growth of Chinese family businesses, enhance external market environments, social trust environments, and internal governance structures of enterprises, and implement development strategies for Chinese family businesses based on networked growth models.
