In nature, there is a very interesting creature called the bumblebee. According to biological theory, the bumblebee's body is quite bulky, and its wings are exceptionally short—making flight absolutely impossible. Physicists argue that the design of the bumblebee's body and wing ratio, from the perspective of fluid dynamics, is equally impossible for flight. In summary, no matter how you look at it, bumblebees are supposed to be unable to fly. Yet in nature, every normal bumblebee can fly. In fact, its flying speed is no worse than that of other flying creatures. This phenomenon seems like a great joke played by nature on scientists.
Eventually, sociobiologists found the answer to this question. The answer is simple: every bumblebee has a strong desire to fly. After maturing, bumblebees clearly understand that they must fly to forage for food, or they will inevitably starve to death! "Flying" is the bumblebee's desired "success," and it is precisely this intense desire that has enabled the bumblebee to achieve this. It is evident that the driving force of "yearning for success" far exceeds our imagination. Whether in nature or in human society, it contains immense power to transform the "impossible" into the "possible."
The Jewish people, as a small nation, have managed to survive tenaciously in the cracks and repeatedly create miracles for the same reason. In the eyes of others, the Jewish people are sparse in population and have suffered numerous disasters, making their destruction or assimilation by other ethnic groups seem ordinary. Yet throughout human history and across all fields of society, the Jewish people have contributed immortal glory. This is because, like the bumblebee, the Jewish people have an extremely profound and highly practical understanding of "success," and their yearning for success is equally intense! Countless facts have shown that the Jewish people's desire for success is stronger than that of any other ethnic group. Devout Jewish worshippers recite the following sentence three times a day: "You should first teach yourself (the key principles for achieving success and a good life), and then teach them to your children."
So, what drives the Jewish people to yearn so strongly for success? P2-3
