Features: The theme of this book is to study the impact of economic restructuring and reforms on workers' income. Since the 1990s, compared to social and economic development, the income levels of some workers have grown slowly or even declined. What are the reasons for workers' low income levels? This book argues that the level of workers' income is highly correlated with market-oriented reforms. Therefore, it is unfair to simply attribute their low income to the workers' own characteristics. By analyzing the influence of institutional change factors and economic development factors during the process of market-oriented reforms on workers' income, the book proposes that during the period of economic transformation, society should pay more attention to the disadvantaged workers and make every effort to help them escape their current difficulties, so that they can share the fruits of reform and opening up and economic development.
