It covers the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases such as five-emitting carbuncles, bone carbuncles, hidden sores, seasonal toxins, treating boils, scrofula, and hemorrhoids. The second volume includes over 140 prescriptions for commonly used decoctions, pills, ointments, and powders in surgery, detailing their indications, ingredient compositions, dosages, and methods of administration, making it highly practical. At the end of the volume, there are records of the processing methods for over 60 commonly used Chinese medicinal herbs in surgery and their monoprescriptions for treating diseases. The author emphasized the holistic concept in diagnosing and treating surgical diseases, combining pulse and symptom analysis. In internal treatment, he pioneered the two major principles of internal dissolving and supporting the body's recovery. External treatments included cupping, needle cauterization, moxibustion, soaking, and cauterizing erosion. These methods had a significant influence on the development of later surgical practices and continue to guide clinical practice today. This edition includes a careful compilation and selection of excellent copies, with a preface guide added to the book and an index of prescriptions and medicines at the end for easy reference. This book is not only a clinical reference for surgeons but also an important reference for clinicians in all medical specialties.
