Doctor's answer:

A 57-year-old patient has endometrial polyps and is unsure if she has gone through menopause. At this age, menopause is generally expected. Due to the presence of endometrial polyps, there may be spotting or irregular bleeding. Therefore, it is recommended that the patient undergo a hysteroscopy to remove the endometrial polyps under the hysteroscope, along with a diagnostic D&C (dilation and curettage), which will be sent for pathology examination. If the pathology results show only polyps, then the treatment is considered complete. If there are other issues, further treatment will be required. Generally, after the surgery, attention should be paid to nutrition, and regular exercise should be maintained.
