Nipples are not directly visible due to inversion. Use a nipple corrector.

Patient's question:

The nipple is inverted and cannot be seen directly. Is it effective to use a nipple corrector? I'm afraid the needle syringe won't work because the suction hole is too small, and it won't suck it out.

Doctor's answer:

Nipple inversion refers to a condition where the nipple does not protrude above the breast skin and does not protrude even when pulled. First, you can gently pull the inverted nipple out of the breast with your hand and hold it in place for a period of time. If this method is not effective, you can try the syringe suction method.
Prepare a 10-mL plastic syringe, remove the outer casing from the front end of the syringe; withdraw the needle core, turn the syringe upside down, and align the open end of the outer casing with the inverted nipple. Then, insert the needle core from the cut end of the syringe into the syringe, gently suction, and use the negative pressure of the syringe to pull out the inverted nipple. Hold it in place for 5-6 minutes. Repeat 1-2 times daily.
