Postoperative care for gynecomastia

Patient's question:

How many days of compression bandaging are needed after gynecomastia surgery? I had the surgery on June 24th, and the stitches were removed the day before yesterday. It has already formed a scab. I saw online that I still need to wear a compression garment, but when I asked the doctor, she said I just need to continue compression bandaging for a few more days. Is that correct? If I don't continue compression bandaging, will there be any aftereffects? Also, there's a hard lump next to my wound—is it a postoperative hard lump? Seeking an answer:

Doctor's answer:

Analysis of the condition: If it is not pressure bandaged, there may be a possibility of the wound opening, which is not conducive to wound healing, so it is necessary. If there is pressure bandaging, there is no need to wear tight clothing, as the effect of tight clothing is not as good as bandaging.
Recommendation: It is recommended to bandage the denture. Generally, it is at least required for more than 1 week.
