Patient's question:
After giving birth, sometimes I feel a bloated sensation in my lower abdomen. At other times, I feel a sense of heaviness or dragging down. If I sit for too long during work hours, my waist also becomes very sore and aching. My menstrual cycle is relatively normal, and my vaginal discharge doesn't have a noticeable odor. I suspect I might have adnexitis!Doctor's answer:
Lower abdominal pain onset is gradual and progressively worsens, commonly associated with inflammation of the internal reproductive organs, such as appendicitis and pelvic inflammatory disease. Malignant tumors can also cause gradually worsening lower abdominal pain. If sudden acute lower abdominal pain occurs, conditions such as ovarian tumor pedicle torsion, ovarian cyst rupture, or ectopic pregnancy should be considered. Persistent dull lower abdominal pain is often caused by inflammation. Intractable and unbearable pain should raise suspicion of advanced-stage cancer. Acute tearing pain is frequently caused by the rupture of an ovarian tumor.
