Patient's question:
I've had some time to feel really uncomfortable down there, with lower abdominal pain and increased white discharge with a bad odor. After checking, I found out I had acute adnexitis.Doctor's answer:
Hello, acute appendicitis examination shows purulent or homogeneous mucous discharge, with tenderness and palpability in the appendages. Sometimes, inflammatory masses of adhesion between the fallopian tubes and ovaries can be palpated, with unclear boundaries and limited mobility. In chronic appendicitis, examination reveals lower abdominal tenderness, and pelvic examination shows thickening and tenderness on both sides of the uterus. Sometimes, enlarged and fixed cystic masses can be palpated. B examination may show no abnormalities unless there is hydrosalpinx or the formation of a tubo-ovarian cyst, in which case ultrasound can detect masses!
