Doctor's answer:
Hello! External medications do not affect the baby. The treatment for candidal vulvovaginitis includes:1. Use a 2%–4% baking soda solution to rinse the vagina once or twice daily. A 2-week course is recommended. After rinsing, dry the external genital area and keep it dry to inhibit the growth of Candida.
2. After rinsing, insert nystatin tablets deep into the vagina once nightly, with a dosage of 50,000–100,000 units per time. A 7–10-day course is recommended. You may also apply Daktarin cream to the external genital area simultaneously.
3. Develop good hygiene habits: Wash your hands before using the toilet; avoid using unclean toilet paper; wipe the external genital area from front to back after defecation; clean the external genital area daily, change underwear, and dry it in a well-ventilated area; use your own basin and towels; wash underwear and socks separately.
4. Dress appropriately: Avoid wearing synthetic underwear, borrowing others' underwear, and swimwear.
5. Exercise regularly, maintain a balanced diet, and avoid spicy foods. Reduce intake of common spicy foods like chili, pepper, curry, as well as hot foods such as mutton, dog meat, and longan. Avoid seafood, shrimp, crabs, and shellfish, as well as sweet and greasy foods, which can worsen itching.
6. Avoid sexual activity during treatment.
