Does mycoplasma infection cause embryonic death?

Patient's question:

I am currently 14 weeks pregnant. I used to have a Mycoplasma infection, and I think I took medication for it later. Now, it seems like I've had a recurrence, and I'm feeling very uncomfortable below. Today, I had an ultrasound, and the fetus has stopped developing. I'm really heartbroken. Could an expert please tell me if Mycoplasma infection can cause fetal demise?

Doctor's answer:

The Relationship Between Mycoplasma Urealyticum Infection and Recurrent Spontaneous Abortion Mycoplasma Urealyticum (UU) can affect embryos through vertical transmission, ultimately leading to embryonic developmental disorders and miscarriage. Additionally, the presence of mycoplasma infection within the body (asymptomatic) can also affect the fetus, causing stillbirth or miscarriage.
