Postpartum fever, no other symptoms

Patient's question:

Head cold after washing hair, then fever

Doctor's answer:

General regulations state that from 24 hours after delivery to within 10 days, body temperature should be measured at least four times daily using a standard oral thermometer. If the temperature reaches or exceeds 38°C on two occasions, it is referred to as puerperal fever. Therefore, when a temperature rise occurs, the cause should be identified, and attention should be paid to the possibility of puerperal infection.
