II. Basic Safety Operation Knowledge
1. Insulated shoes must be worn, insulated gloves must be put on, and face shields must be used before welding operations.
2. The installation and disassembly of electric welding machine power supplies must be performed by electricians.
3. Electric welding machines must be equipped with separate switch boxes; the primary and secondary sides should have protective covers; the secondary side should be equipped with anti-electric shock protection devices.
4. Before starting welding operations, check whether the welding machine and tools are in good condition and safe. If leakage is detected, replace them before use.
5. Effective rainproof measures must be taken for welding machines and switch boxes. When operating the switch, wear gloves and work sideways.
6. Welding clamps and cables must be well-insulated and securely connected. When changing welding electrodes, wear gloves. When working in damp areas, stand on insulating rubber boards or wooden boards.
8. No electric welding operations are allowed without obtaining firework approval.
9. Oxygen and acetylene cylinders should be avoided from collision and violent shaking, and should not be exposed to direct sunlight. When frozen, use hot water to warm them, but never heat them with fire. Oil must not contaminate the oxygen cylinder body, oxygen regulators, or welding tools.
10. Flammable and explosive materials should be cleared from the welding site, or covered and isolated.
11. When multiple welding machines are used together for welding, the welding platform or workpieces must be grounded, and light-shielding boards must be provided.
12. Open flames inside work sheds must be equipped with fire-fighting equipment, and must be supervised by.
13. Welding or cutting is strictly prohibited on pressurized containers or pipelines. Electric equipment must be powered off first.
14. Outdoor welding operations must be stopped during thunderstorms.
15. When welding or cutting containers or pipelines that have stored flammable, explosive, or toxic materials, they must be thoroughly cleaned, and all openings must be opened. Never weld or cut inside sealed containers or tanks.
16. When igniting, the welding torch nozzle must not face people. A burning welding torch must not be placed on workpieces or the ground.
17. When moving cables while changing work locations, cut off the power first and do not climb ladders or ascend while holding the cable connected to the welding torch.
18. When removing slag, wear protective goggles or face shields to prevent slag from splattering and injuring people.
19. After welding operations, cut off the power to the welding machine and inspect the work area to ensure no fire hazards before leaving.
20. Oxygen cylinders must be at least 5 meters away from acetylene cylinders and at least 10 meters away from open flames. Acetylene cylinders must never be placed upside down.
