Why do the vas deferens get blocked?

Patient's question:

I had a period of time because of an issue with my foreskin, so I went to the hospital for surgery. Now, it's been about two or three years since then. I've also been married for almost two and a half years now, and I've been with my wife without having a child. So, I secretly went to see a doctor and found out that my vas deferens was blocked.

Doctor's answer:

Hello, caused by surgical injury: Many women's fallopian tubes are blocked due to surgical injuries, such as inguinal hernia repair, varicocele, spermatic cord tumor surgery, etc., which can damage the fallopian tubes; epididymal spermatic cyst surgery, testicular hydrocele surgery, can damage the epididymis; prostate surgery can cause obstruction of the ejaculatory duct; or even without direct injury, but postoperative infection, adhesion, scar formation, etc., can compress and obstruct the reproductive tract.
