How much does follicle puncture cost approximately, and what is the success rate?

Patient's question:

Preparing for an egg retrieval.

Doctor's answer:

Ovarian puncture is usually performed under transvaginal ultrasound guidance. The transvaginal ultrasound probe is equipped with a puncture guide. An 18G single-cavity puncture needle is used to place the probe at the vaginal fornix. The probe position is adjusted according to the guide wire of the puncture needle, and the needle is rapidly inserted into the follicle cavity to aspirate follicular fluid. Follicles with a diameter greater than 14 mm are selected, and in OHSS cases, the entire medium and small follicles are aspirated as much as possible. After aspirating 1 to 5 follicular fluids, the fluid is injected outside the ovarian capsule, and the rest is aspirated out of the body.
