What should I do if there is some bleeding from the lower vagina after childbirth and my stomach hurts a little?

Patient's question:

Still bleeding down there, slight abdominal pain.

Doctor's answer:

The duration of postpartum lochia is synchronized with uterine involution and uterine cavity wound healing, approximately requiring 6-8 weeks.
Guidance:
1) Hemorrhagic lochia: Secretions expelled within 1-4 days postpartum, appearing bright red and containing a high amount of blood. The volume is generally similar to or greater than normal menstrual flow, sometimes accompanied by blood clots.
2) Serous lochia: Pale red in color, containing a small amount of blood, mucus, and abundant vaginal secretions, along with bacterial growth. This type of lochia is typically expelled around 4-6 days postpartum.
3) White lochia: White or pale yellow in color, consisting of white blood cells, decidua cells, epithelial cells, and bacteria. Its appearance is similar to leukorrhea but is more abundant, usually expelled about 1 week postpartum.
