Patient's question:

Description: The flesh of my vagina and the surrounding area of the vagina. Sometimes it's the anus! It always moves. Like twitching. It used to twitch occasionally. Since I drove for a trip and came back, the number of twitches has increased. But it doesn't hurt or itch! I don't have any bad habits. I also don't sleep in the same room as my boyfriend. What's going on? I pay close attention to hygiene. I used to have pelvic effusion, which has been cured. My leukorrhea is normal. My cervix is normal.

Doctor's answer:

The primary causes of vaginal spasm are mainly related to psychological factors. Most patients develop it due to a lack of sexual knowledge, extreme fear and anxiety about sexual intercourse, or a history of sexual violence or trauma to the external genitalia and vagina. Marital dissatisfaction and dissatisfaction with a partner can also contribute. Vaginal spasm can be a natural protective reflex caused by external genital or vaginal organic lesions. However, due to the formation of a conditioned reflex from repeated pain, vaginal spasm may persist even after the primary lesion has disappeared or been cured. Most cases of vaginal spasm are psychophysiological syndromes, a functional disorder in women, and can occur in women of any age. Mild symptoms may allow for intercourse, but both partners feel discomfort, especially the woman who experiences pain. Severe symptoms prevent the penis from inserting into the vagina, making sexual intercourse impossible.
