Chronic endometritis.

Patient's question:

Dear Dr. Ma,
I am a patient with chronic endometritis. I underwent a cervical erosion surgery at a private hospital, which led to an infection. Later, I had an ovarian cyst surgery due to an ovarian cyst. After my menstrual period, I had a hysteroscopy examination and found congestion in the left uterine angle and blockage of the left fallopian tube. Five days before my period, I experienced a small amount of dark or brown discharge. Five days after my period, the bleeding volume increased, lasting for about 10 days in total.
I desperately need Dr. Ma’s help. I have experienced severe abdominal pain multiple times and have considered having my uterus removed, but I am hesitant because I do not have children.
Thank you for your attention.

Doctor's answer:

Diagnosis of Endometritis
1. Hysteroscopy reveals congestion of the endometrium and abnormal blood vessels.
2. Pathological examination shows plasma cell infiltration in the endometrium.
After your treatment, is there still congestion in the left horn of the uterus? If you experience only a small amount of black or brown discharge five days before your period, with heavier bleeding five days after your period, lasting a total of 10 days, and abdominal pain, it cannot be definitively diagnosed as endometritis.
First, treat the endometritis. After it is cured, you can proceed with IVF.
