Cervicitis, HPV positive to negative

Patient's question:

How long has the cervical erosion lasted? It has been moderate. In March last year, an HPV-16 positive test result was found. It has not improved since then. In August this year, another examination revealed that the cervical erosion had become mild, and the HPV test result had turned negative.

Doctor's answer:

Hello, many patients with cervical erosion are discovered during gynecological examinations or when visiting the gynecology department for other conditions. Patients generally do not notice the symptoms of cervical erosion themselves. The most obvious symptoms for moderate to severe cervical erosion patients are: increased leukorrhea, yellow in color and viscous, or leukorrhea mixed with blood streaks. Some patients may experience contact bleeding. Among severe cervical erosion patients, symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency may also occur. Long-term irritation of the external genitalia by inflammatory secretions can also lead to pruritus ani.
It is recommended to use Chinese herbal medicine such as Gynecological Qianjin Tablets/Capsules, which have anti-inflammatory effects and can also enhance the body's immunity. It is important to follow the prescribed course of treatment. Generally, 3–4 courses are recommended for moderate to severe cases, while milder cases may require 2–3 courses. Each course lasts for 14 days.
In terms of diet, it is advisable to consume more fruits, vegetables, and regular foods, while also ensuring adequate rest. You can moderately eat foods that nourish yin and herbs that tonify Qi and blood. It is best to avoid and spicy foods such as scallions, beef, and mutton.
