Features: Some say, "The future society will be a mind-based society, where there will be no distinction between mental and physical labor, only the difference between high-level and low-level mental professions." Many people often find themselves far behind their competitors with astonishment, mainly because they fail to realize that thinking also needs training. The great inventor Thomas Edison once said, "Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration!" In the past, people always emphasized that success requires extraordinary diligence, but they overlooked one point: without that one percent inspiration, the ninety-nine percent perspiration would be devalued. For success, that one percent inspiration in the mind is truly invaluable. Unfortunately, few people study that invaluable one percent or strive to improve it. In today's knowledge economy era, for an individual to survive in fierce competition, not only does he need to be diligent but also must possess wisdom. It is believed that as talent competition becomes increasingly intense and intelligent, whether an individual's thinking skills—such as observation, analysis, judgment, comprehension, thinking, decision-making, creativity, planning, imagination, insight, and strategic planning—are mature and have received systematic training—will determine his future career prospects. Only those who constantly update their thinking methods and are well-trained in thinking skills can survive in the intense mental competition. Those with rigid minds and simplistic thinking patterns will inevitably fail to adapt to the rapidly developing world of the future.
There is a Western proverb: "God favors the prepared mind." With the advent of the information age and the globalization of intellectual competition, what kind of mind should we cultivate to meet future challenges? This is a question that every person should seriously consider.
