This dictionary contains a total of 120,000 entries, with approximately 70,000 in the Japanese-Chinese section and 50,000 in the Chinese-Japanese section. The Japanese entries are carefully selected to include common modern vocabulary and a large number of newly established terms, covering all fundamental and commonly used vocabulary found in current Japanese teaching materials and various exams. The Chinese entries include 4,000 single-character entries covering 3,500 common and secondary common Chinese characters, as well as over 4,000 multi-syllabic entries, which include all common and fundamental important words, as well as idioms and set phrases. In terms of compilation, the dictionary strives to be accurate, concise, practical, avoiding ambiguity, complexity, and redundancy. The Japanese-Chinese section lists the pronunciation and pitch accent of each Japanese word, provides basic and commonly used definitions and collocations, but does not include example sentences. The Chinese-Japanese section references authoritative Chinese dictionaries to note the pronunciation of Chinese entries, with Japanese definitions marked with hiragana phonetic notation, making it very convenient to read. The dictionary's appendix is specially compiled with new content, which is expected to bring convenience to Japanese learners who are native Chinese speakers in their study and reference.
