Features: This textbook introduces the programming and machining principles of various CNC machine tools. Through eight typical practical projects, it elaborates in detail the process analysis, program development, and the process analysis and program development methods of automatic programming for manual programming of various CNC machine tools. Exercises are provided at the end of each chapter. The textbook is divided into eight chapters. Chapter 1 briefly introduces the history of CNC technology, the basic components of CNC machine tools, the development trends of CNC machine tools, and their classification. Chapter 2 introduces the basic methods of manual programming and commonly used program development instructions. Chapter 3 focuses on the working interface, common commands, and programming methods of Mastercam. Chapters 4 and 5 first introduce a typical example of manual programming process analysis, program development, machine operation, and actual machining through projects, and then introduce the same example using automatic programming. Chapter 6 is the key chapter of the book, introducing the components, main parameters, working principles, features, and applications of CNC milling machines and machining centers. It also provides a detailed explanation of the definitions of various reference points and coordinates for CNC milling machines and machining centers, and describes various programming methods for CNC milling machines and machining centers through three typical examples. This textbook is suitable for students of industrial design, CNC (CAD/CAM), mold design and manufacturing, and electromechanical majors in secondary vocational schools for CNC courses (90–150 hours). The book is also accompanied by an electronic teaching reference package (including teaching guide, electronic teaching plan, and exercise answers), see the preface for details.
