Features: In life, people are of all kinds. Therefore, their psychological characteristics, temperaments, and language habits are also different, and these factors determine that their requirements for language information are different. Thus, it is not appropriate to communicate using a uniform and general standard language style. One must adapt their speech to the person they are speaking to, as being different for different people is very necessary, otherwise it is no different from "playing the lute to a cow." Generally speaking, when adapting to different people, one should consider the following aspects:
Gender differences. Use direct and strong language when speaking to men, and adopt a gentle and tactful approach when speaking to women.
Age differences. Use persuasive language when speaking to young people, explain the pros and cons to middle-aged people and let them deliberate, and use a consultative tone with the elderly to show respect.
Regional differences. As the saying goes, "one region's soil nurtures one region's people," and each region has its own unique personality traits. For northerners, a rough and straightforward attitude can be adopted, while for southerners, one needs to be much more refined.
Professional differences. When interacting with people from different professions, tailor your language to their professional expertise, using terms closely related to their field of knowledge to enhance their trust in you.
Cultural differences. Use concise language when speaking to people with lower education levels, and include more specific examples and data. For those with higher education, strive to be as professional as possible.
Additionally, personality differences are not limited by age or profession. Therefore, special attention should be paid. If the other person is bold and rough, they prefer straightforward and brisk words, so you should be loyal, honest, and speak your mind without reservation, showing clear preferences for beauty and ugliness, good and evil. For those who are meticulous, honest, and experienced, they prefer fluent and steady speech. In this case, when speaking, pay attention to a respectful attitude. Avoid being overly talkative or clever, but instead be simple and unadorned, direct yet not crooked. Although the words may be simple, they must be on target, giving the impression of being honest and trustworthy. If the other person is an erudite and refined individual, they may value well-supported arguments with minimal redundancy. You can start with theoretical issues, quote extensively, and make the conversation rich in philosophical depth, but your words should reflect subtlety and elegance, appearing modest yet eager to learn.
In summary, when speaking to different people, one must adopt different ways of speaking.
Witty words: The psychological characteristics, temperaments, and language habits of people are different, which also determines that their requirements for language information are different. Therefore, one cannot use a uniform and general standard language style to communicate.
