Introduction to Crystal Chemistry (3rd Edition)

Author: Qian Yitai

Publish Date: 2005-08-01
Features: Due to the development of materials chemistry, crystallography has been enriched and improved, leading to an increase in the readership of crystallography. Therefore, based on the second edition of "Introduction to Crystallography" published in 1999, we have supplemented and revised the relevant content to become the third edition of this book. The specific modifications are as follows: For the convenience of readers' understanding, we have provided a more detailed description of the specific derivation of the C2v space group; from the perspective of crystallography, the relevant content of "molecular sieves" (Section 5 of Chapter 9) and "intercalation compounds" (Section 5 of Chapter 13) has been expanded; and the content of the "crystallography of superconducting materials" (Chapter 15) has been adjusted and supplemented. Additionally, some research content on nanomaterials has been incorporated into the book. Professor Long Yingcai of Fudan University provided valuable suggestions for the "molecular sieves" section, and we sincerely express our gratitude. We are grateful to Professor Tang Kaibin for using this book to teach the crystallography course at the University of Science and Technology of China and for providing many valuable suggestions for the revision. We also thank the encouragement and support of the leadership of the university's teaching administration department.
