Features: This updated second edition atlas aims to provide a practical reference guide for physicians and medical workers involved in MRI examinations or diagnosis. The new edition includes additional chapters focusing on the occipito-cervical junction, emphasizing the ligaments of the upper cervical spine and the atlantoaxial joint, as well as the anatomy of paraspinal muscles. The book features 97 high-quality spinal MRI images obtained from volunteers and cadaver specimens, along with relevant scanning localization images. Several cadaver dissection images are included for comparative observation of key anatomical structures of the spine. Almost all the images in this edition have been replaced with new images reflecting current imaging techniques. These images were all acquired using traditional T1-weighted spin-echo, gradient echo, and T2-weighted fast (turbo) spin-echo sequences.
