Features: Sketches are an important form of expression that integrates wisdom, experience, techniques, and skills. A high-level sketch, even with minimal strokes, can earn the trust and recognition of experts and relevant individuals. Through continuous refinement and evolution of sketches, the design approach tends toward perfection, which is also a process for architects to enhance their self-cultivation and improve their wisdom, experience, techniques, and skills. Architectural design sketches can be said to reflect fleeting inspirations in the mind onto the page with the fastest speed, simplest tools, and most abbreviated strokes. During the continuous process of refinement, comparison, and adaptation of sketches, new sparks of inspiration may be triggered, leading the concept to a higher level of development. The generative effects of adaptation often push the design concept into an unexpected new realm. However, the fundamental prerequisite is to be diligent in sketching—merely relying on thought alone is unlikely to yield such results. On the other hand, whether a concept is feasible can only be tested through rapid, concrete sketches. If one path proves unworkable, a new one must be, or the original concept must be refined while preserving its essence, continuously corrected until perfection is achieved.
