Can you get pregnant with an endometrial thickness of 7mm?

Patient's question:

After checking, I found that my endometrium is only about 7mm thick. Is this going to affect fertility? Can one get pregnant with 7mm endometrium?

Doctor's answer:

The thickness of normal endometrium varies continuously throughout the menstrual cycle and is not constant. The specific numbers are as follows:
1. Menstrual phase: The functional layer of the endometrium is shed while the basal layer is retained.
2. Proliferative phase: From day 6 to 14 of the menstrual cycle, the endometrium thickens to 1–3 mm.
3. Secretory phase: From day 15 to 28 of the menstrual cycle, the endometrium thickens to 5–7 mm.
The thickness of the endometrium does not determine whether pregnancy can occur; ovulation is the key factor. The normal range is generally 0.2–1.0 cm.
