Features: "The Book of Changes" is a classic text that has been essential for scholars throughout the ages and the root of traditional Chinese culture. Today, as we inherit and promote our excellent traditional culture and cultivate the moral character of people, studying "The Book of Changes" should be one of the most beneficial measures. Song Confucian Cheng Yi once said: "The Way of the Yi is vast and profound. When extended, it is boundless; when discussed in detail, it is tranquil and righteous. Between heaven and earth, the principles of all things are the same." He also remarked: "The Way of the Yi is indeed supreme! The sages used the Way of the Yi to elevate their virtue and achievements!" (from "The Interpretations of the Henan Cheng Family on the Classics"). This is both an extreme praise for the Way of the Yi by the predecessors and an embodiment of the noble purpose of studying it. This book is based on the four-volume edition of "The Meanings of the Book of Changes" published by the Wuying Hall during the Qing Dynasty, and the order of the Zang and Chuan sections follows its sequence. In places where the original text has been slightly corrected, the basis for the correction is noted. As for the content of the "Introduction," "Annotations," "Translation," and "Comprehensive Analysis" sections, it is inevitable that there may be errors or omissions, and we sincerely hope that fellow scholars can correct them. If readers who are new to the study of the Yi can gain some understanding of the essence of the thoughts in "The Book of Changes" from this book, it would be the author's great honor.
