Patient's question:
Under the labia majora, a long oval-shaped hard lump has grown on the right side, about 3 centimeters in length. It can be felt with the hand, and the sensation is similar to having a red bump on the face. When pushed with the hand, it can be moved, and it is neither painful nor itchy. Now, the right side of the labia majora is swollen overall, much larger than the left side. The lump inside feels swollen and painful when touched. The skin surface of the hard lump shows no changes (no signs of developing folliculitis). What could this be? In the past month, I have had several cases of folliculitis in my pubic hair, which resolved on their own without medication. Hello, folliculitis and Bartholin's cyst are different. Bartholin's cyst and Bartholin's gland cyst are the same condition. Advice: In your case, if the cyst is not located on the epidermis but is deeper and causes pain, it is likely a Bartholin's gland cyst. Folliculitis-induced inflammatory nodules would not be this large; if they are this large, they would typically rupture.
