Features: Can we eliminate global poverty? Should we cancel foreign aid? Is the UN unnecessary? Why should we worry? What can we do? Michael Edwards proposes a "third way." In a world where interdependence is constantly deepening, unless we learn to coexist and cooperate with each other, no country will have a bright future. This book is well-argued and explains the functioning mechanism of the international system, the pressures it faces, and the changes it must undergo. It also provides concrete and feasible new ideas for restructuring international relations and foreign aid.
