Critique of Chinese Characterology - (Negation and Abandonment) (Volumes 1 and 2)

Author: Tang Han
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2006-03-01
Features: The person who achieved this great feat is the author of this book, Mr. Tang Han. Before this, he had already written several million words in multi-volume works. Although they did not attract the attention of the academic circles in mainland China, it was understandable, as he was just an independent scholar. His extraordinary and profound arguments were likely to leave the scholars in the ivory tower speechless and unable to respond. As everyone knows, most mainstream scholars today have abandoned the purity and focus of the ivory tower. They are busy with academic degrees, evaluating titles, bribing journal gates, fabricating hot papers, and also catering to authorities and maintaining relationships. They are so busy with livelihood and fame that they have no time or mindset left for fundamental research. On the other hand, scholars like Mr. Tang Han are eccentric figures, free-spirited and content with themselves. They pursue scholarship not for a living, nor for fame or status, but only for the purity of academia and the depth of research. Such rare individuals are surely not comparable to the ordinary professors or boastful celebrities.
