Features: "Miniature Japanese-Chinese Dictionary" (Revised Edition) 2000 Revised Edition, designed for junior high school Japanese beginners. Based on the first edition in 1972, it has been substantially revised, adding common Japanese words and foreign loanwords. The dictionary includes over 2,300 entries, with more than 1,500 foreign loanwords. Each entry is marked with Japanese pitch accent symbols, and rare kanji in example sentences are annotated with their pronunciation. At the end of the main text, there are conjugation tables for verbs, auxiliary verbs, adjectives, and adjectival verbs, as well as a Japanese kanji index.
The people of China and Japan have a history of friendly exchanges spanning over two thousand years. After the normalization of China-Japan relations in September 1972, the friendly exchanges and technological and cultural exchanges between the two countries have further developed. As a result, the need for Japanese dictionaries among self-learners of Japanese in China has become even more urgent. For this reason, we compiled this "Miniature Japanese-Chinese Dictionary" in a short period of time, hoping to contribute to the learning of Japanese. This dictionary includes over 10,000 words, with more basic words generally accompanied by example sentences. The pronunciation of words is marked with pitch accents, and Japanese kanji in example sentences are also annotated with hiragana to help beginners learn and master the correct pronunciation and usage of Japanese.
During the compilation and review process of this dictionary, we received assistance from Comrade Wang Shifeng, the Japanese Teaching and Research Office of Hebei University, some colleagues from the Foreign Languages Press, and other colleagues. We express our sincere gratitude to them. Due to the limitations of the compilers and the haste of the book's completion, there must be many shortcomings and errors in this book. We sincerely hope that Japanese self-learners and teachers and students from universities and colleges will provide valuable feedback so that further revisions can be made.
