Features: This book is a theoretical introductory monograph focused on the topic of 51 to ARM—32-bit embedded systems. The content primarily covers the basic knowledge of the 51 series microcontrollers, fundamental knowledge of ARM processors, the differences between ARM and 51 series instructions, and the use of ARM processor development tools. Starting from the general knowledge of the 51 series microcontrollers, the book compares ARM processors with the 51 series, guiding readers to understand and learn about ARM processors. The content is divided into three parts:
Part 1 (Chapters 1–4) begins with the familiar basic knowledge of the 51 series microcontrollers, introducing the fundamental knowledge of ARM processors, including comparisons between ARM and the 51 series, interrupt handling systems, register and memory structures, etc.
Part 2 (Chapters 5–9) provides a detailed comparison of the differences between ARM and 51 series instructions, further elaborating on the meaning and usage of ARM instructions. It introduces ARM processor software programming methods starting from simple 51 series programming experience.
Part 3 (Chapters 10–12) covers the use of ARM processor development tools.
Any technician who has studied the 51 series microcontrollers will easily learn the general knowledge of ARM processors, understand the basic methods of software design, and be able to use development tools for program editing, compilation, linking, and debugging, becoming a preliminary ARM-aware engineer capable of software design. This book is suitable for undergraduate and graduate students in electronic information, as well as electronic design engineers, for reference.
