What are the causes of vas deferens blockage disease?

Patient's question:

In my family, there is no laughter, only burdens. My parents' blame, the mutual shirking between spouses, and the ridicule of friends are all unbearable pains for me. Previously, I also didn't understand why I got this serious illness. The obstruction of the vas deferens has brought me endless psychological burdens, and even now, I cannot accept this fact. Could you please tell me what causes the obstruction of the vas deferens?

Doctor's answer:

Spermmust pass through the efferent ductules of the testis, the epididymal duct, the vas deferens, the ejaculatory duct, and part of the urethra. Obstruction in any of these areas can affect sperm. If unilateral obstruction of the vas deferens occurs, it has little impact on fertility. However, if bilateral obstruction prevents normal sperm, it will lead to infertility. The common causes of obstruction in the vas deferens are as follows: infections of the urogenital system, such as epididymitis, prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, or epididymal and vas deferens tuberculosis, which cause obstruction of the vas deferens, with the connection between the epididymis and the vas deferens being more common. Tumors of the epididymis, seminal vesicles, or prostate can also cause obstruction of the vas deferens. Absence of the head, body, or tail of the epididymis, partial or complete absence of the vas deferens, non-connection between the vas deferens and the epididymis, or underdevelopment of the epididymis, vas deferens, or seminal vesicles.
