The book systematically records Zhang Yuansu's understanding of zang-fu organ pathogenesis and syndrome differentiation, proposes patterns of medicinal replenishment and draining based on the desires and aversions of zang-fu organs, as well as the cold and heat of deficiency and excess, guides prescription formulation according to the ascending, descending, floating, and sinking properties of medicinal flavors and aromas, and pioneers the theory of drug meridian tropism and guiding herbs. It also includes special chapters on the study of Zhang Yuansu's academic thoughts, with a bibliographic list of related papers at the end. This book is the first systematic collation and annotation of Zhang Yuansu's three medical works, presented in simplified characters and horizontal layout. It is suitable for professionals in traditional Chinese medicine, as well as students and researchers of traditional Chinese medicine.
