How is second-degree cervical erosion treated?

Patient's question:

How is second-degree cervical erosion treated?

Doctor's answer:

Hello! Cervical erosion and Nabothian cysts are types of chronic cervical inflammation. Inflammation can hinder sperm passage, potentially affecting fertility. Before treating cervical erosion, a TCT test is required to rule out cervical lesions. Under normal results, moderate cervical erosion and Nabothian cysts are often treated with physical therapy. If fertility is desired, our hospital typically uses non-invasive centimeter wave and minimally invasive BOM light treatments, which do not affect cervical elasticity, cause cervical adhesion, or impact future normal childbirth.
Inflammation is one factor affecting fertility, but many other factors can also influence pregnancy, such as female ovulation, fallopian tubes, endocrine issues, and male abnormal semen, among others. It is recommended to undergo further tests after inflammation treatment to rule out abnormalities, and pregnancy can be considered under the guidance of a doctor once conditions are stable.
