Yin. Yong. Tan - Erhu Composition Collection (CD)

Features: Over the years, collections of erhu and piano works or erhu pieces accompanied by piano have been rare in publications. However, in our concert repertoires and in the teaching practices of music schools, it has become a relatively common and important form of artistic performance. For this reason, I highly appreciate the publication of Zhitalin's erhu works collection "Yin, Yong, Tan." I admire the artistic conception of his suite "Yin, Yong, Tan." The three pieces respectively adopt small-scale "rondo form," simple "ternary form," and condensed "sonata form"; their durations are approximately four and a half to five and a half minutes each. This is a set of instrumental pieces with high artistic quality, resembling a heartfelt lyrical poem or a series of sketches where scenes and emotions blend harmoniously. Yet, within these delicate musical compositions, they embody the composer's life-long reflections and genuine affection and care for the environment that nurtured him. This collection includes categories such as "Suite" (three pieces), "Folk Tunes" (three pieces), and "Masterpieces Arranged" (three pieces). Each piece has a concise and clear structure. In the current creation of Chinese instrumental music, in the musical life of the general public, as well as in professional, amateur, or popular and advanced music education, there is indeed a strong need for musical pieces with artistic refinement.
