Features: This book is based on several considerations in its selection of material: First, it focuses on air atomization nozzles and systematically explores the working principles, atomization performance, detection methods, and combustion characteristics of fuel nozzles commonly used in gas turbines. Second, it strives to be both theoretically rigorous and practically applicable, introducing not only the basic working principles of fuel nozzles but also emphasizing engineering application technologies. Third, most of the content in this book is derived from the author's long-term research achievements and academic papers in the field of fuel nozzle technology. The book consists of six chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the working principles and evaluation metrics of fuel nozzles for gas turbines. Chapter 2 covers the atomization characteristics and combustion characteristics of several common fuel nozzles used in gas turbines. Chapter 3 focuses on elaborating the atomization mechanism of air atomization nozzles. Chapter 4 primarily introduces aviation fuels and their atomization quality, as well as the impact of liquid mist quality on combustion performance, from an engineering application perspective. Chapter 5 discusses the issue of carbon deposition that nozzles inevitably encounter during engineering use and protective measures. Chapter 6 introduces the spray detection technology for fuel nozzles. This book serves as a technical reference for personnel engaged in nozzle technology, particularly for engineering technicians and management personnel in departments involved in the design, development, and production of fuel nozzles for gas turbines. It can also be used as a teaching reference for graduate and undergraduate students in higher education institutions.
