Histological examination of the tissue scraped during the diagnosis of endometrial adhesions revealed secretory phase endometrium, proliferative phase endometrium, atrophic endometrium, and hyperplastic endometrium, even including the basal layer of the endometrium, myometrium, and fibrous tissue. Bergman reported that only 1/4 of the scraped tissue showed normal endometrium, while the rest exhibited irregular endometrial architecture with few glandular structures. Interstitial fibrosis was observed, accompanied by a significant number of plasma cells and lymphocytes.
