I've been married for over a year and haven't gotten pregnant yet, urgently urgently.....

Patient's question:

Detailed medical condition and consultation purpose:
Hello doctor, there are some things I don’t understand. Can you tell me?
I’ve been married for over a year and haven’t been able to get pregnant. I went to the hospital for a checkup, and the only issue found was a retroverted uterus. There are no other problems.
My last menstrual period was on December 28, 2015 (28-day cycle). It ended on the 4th. I calculated that my ovulation period should be from the 6th to the 15th. So, we had intercourse on the 6th, 8th, and 10th. Yesterday, I had some mild lower abdominal pain all day. When I went to the bathroom, I noticed some discharge similar to white discharge—it was clear and odorless. That must mean I ovulated. I haven’t had any in the past few days, but it’s gone today.

Doctor's answer:

Hello: The first priority in your case is to treat your retroverted uterus! When trying to conceive with a retroverted uterus, corrective measures can be taken, including:
① Post-coital hip elevation: Place a pillow under the woman's hips during or after intercourse to position her in a head-low, hip-high posture. This allows semen to accumulate in the posterior fornix, immersing the cervix in a semen pool, which facilitates conception.
② Post-coital prone position or coital back-kneeling position: This helps semen accumulate in the anterior fornix of the vagina, making it easier for the elevated cervix to be immersed in semen.
③ Uterine round ligament shortening surgery or uterine suspension surgery: The effectiveness of these surgeries is uncertain, and recurrence may occur years later. Currently, these methods are generally not recommended.
④ Pessary correction method: Some women may first be manually to a normal uterine position, followed by the short-term use of a pessary, which can provide temporary correction.
