How is amniocentesis treated

Patient's question:

Number of episodes, location, types of discomfort, previous treatments received, and the help you wish to receive (over 20 words)

Doctor's answer:

1. For suitable pregnant women during pregnancy, use ultrasound to determine the abdominal puncture point (where there is a lot of amniotic fluid and no fetal limbs) or perform the puncture under ultrasound monitoring;
2. Before puncturing the amniotic fluid, the pregnant woman can be asked to lie down and change positions five times in a row to suspend fetal cells in the amniotic fluid inside the uterus, making it easier to puncture and extract more fetal cells;
3. Use a puncture kit to disinfect the puncture point according to sterile requirements, place a drape, and use a puncture needle to pierce it. Slowly withdraw 10-20 milliliters of amniotic fluid, slowly inject it along the tube wall into a sterile centrifuge tube, and seal it with a sterile cap;
4. Perform routine centrifugation, open the cap under sterile conditions, discard the supernatant, and retain about 1 milliliter of amniotic fluid to mix the cell precipitate into a cell suspension for genetic testing or cell culture.
