Follow-up treatment after uterine polypectomy

Patient's question:

On early November, I had an operation to remove uterine polyps at a Grade III-A hospital in my hometown. Now, the first menstrual period after the surgery has already ended.

Doctor's answer:

Treating polyps can be done with a small surgery,
Guidelines:
Usually, it can be performed on an outpatient basis without the need for hospitalization. For small polyps, they can be removed using forceps, followed by slight compression to stop bleeding, or by placing a piece of gauze at the neck and removing it after 24 hours. When the polyps are larger, the stalk should be removed along with the polyp, and the base can be cauterized to stop bleeding.
