Patient's question:
NoDoctor's answer:
Hysterosalpingography is generally most suitable to be performed 3-7 days after the menstrual period. As for vaginal ultrasound, if ovulation is detected on the 9th day of the menstrual cycle, it can be done every other day to monitor the ovulation status. Hysterosalpingography should not be performed during the menstrual period because the flow of menstrual blood may lead to endometriosis if the contrast medium is used. Therefore, it is not recommended to do hysterosalpingography during the menstrual period.
