The formation of monozygotic (identical) twins is different. It involves the fusion of one sperm and one egg to form a single fertilized egg. This fertilized egg then divides into two embryos. In a natural state, if you release two eggs and they both get fertilized simultaneously, you will conceive twins. The chances of having monozygotic twins are even lower.
