Features: Mao Zedong once praised Emperor Wu of Han in the poem "Qin Garden Snow," comparing him to Qin Shi Huang. He ascended to the throne at the age of 16 and ruled China for 53 years. During this period, he extensively recruited talents, reformed the government, and abandoned the theory of non-action advocated by Huang Yuan. He launched large-scale counterattacks against the Xiongnu in the north, relieving the threat from the northern borders and strengthening national unity. At the same time, he sent Zhang Qian as an envoy to the Western Regions, opening up the unbroken Silk Road, expanding the territory, promoting the unity of the feudal state, and making the Western Han Dynasty one of the most advanced countries in the world at that time. As a feudal emperor, he also had his flaws, such as indulging in grand construction projects, extravagance, mobilizing troops for war, and wasting resources. Overall, however, he can still be considered a visionary ruler. After his death, he was buried in Maoling.
