Patient's question:
The reason why my husband and I haven't had a child so far is due to infertility. Recently, my husband and I plan to take some time to go to the hospital to do in vitro fertilization. But I heard from friends who have done it before that not all infertility patients can undergo in vitro fertilization.Doctor's answer:
To undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF), you must have a marriage certificate, both partners' ID cards, and a birth planning certificate. The male partner needs to have a semen analysis, while the female partner also needs to complete some basic examinations, such as a gynecological examination, dilation and curettage (D&C), fallopian tube patency test, anti-sperm antibody test, liver function test, hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), complete blood count (CBC), coagulation time, and basal endocrine hormone determination (on day 3 of the menstrual cycle). If there are no abnormalities, the doctor will create a medical record for you and inform you when to start IVF treatment.
