Is it better to treat breast hyperplasia with Traditional Chinese Medicine or Western Medicine?

Patient's question:

Patient Age: 27
Detailed Medical Condition and Purpose of Consultation: Developed bilateral breast pain on September 20 of this year. On September 25, a check-up revealed fibrocystic changes, and medication including Ping Xiao Pian and Tong Shu Jiao was prescribed. Initially, the medication showed effectiveness, but the pain returned after one week. Later, Lü Pi Xiao Pian was used, which also provided relief within 7–10 days but then recurred. Currently, Chinese herbal medicine is being taken, but the condition has not improved as it did in the previous two instances. Moreover, the pain has worsened compared to the earlier episodes, and a lump has been felt. I am very concerned about the possibility of cancer.
Duration of Current Illness and Duration of Symptoms: Since September 20, it has been 3 months.
Medical History: Had purpura nephritis 10 years ago and was treated with a large amount of corticosteroids.

Doctor's answer:

Best to use surgery, as it is less painful and generally allows you to return to work after one week of rest. It can completely treat the condition and will not recur.
