Publish Date: 2006-03-01
Features: The sealed-up evil emperor, imprisoned for 7,000 years, is about to awaken. The merciless priestly order, who kill without hesitation, is hunting down the inheritor mentioned in the prophecy—the only one who can manipulate the Holy Stone to destroy the evil emperor. For 7,000 years, the great mage who had sworn to protect the bloodline of the inheritor has been living in an inconspicuous farm? The destined moment has arrived, and everyone is merely a puppet of the prophecy. The prophecy puppet thus unfolds. This work is a vast and comprehensive epic, with its backdrop being the war between the gods, the kings, and the people, spanning 7,000 years. And this war, which takes place in a strange land and is filled with fantastical and magical plots, is an inevitable destiny and prophecy! David Eddings excels at recombining traditional fantasy elements, such as the growth of the protagonist, the mysterious guide, and the ever-present enemy, to create more tightly paced and thrilling works. His "Belgariad" series, which became a sensation in the 1980s, is still regarded as one of the few authors who possess the magic of fantasy literature.
