Features: The English edition of Modern High-rise Reinforced Concrete Structure Design is published by the Imperial College Press, UK. This book introduces the main research results of the national research project "New Reinforced Concrete" conducted in Japan from 1998 to 1993. The goal of this project was to construct high-rise concrete buildings using high-strength concrete and high-strength steel in earthquake-prone countries like Japan. The project covered all aspects of reinforced concrete structures, including materials, structural members, structural design, construction, and feasibility studies. Additionally, the book introduces modern analytical methods such as the finite element method and seismic response analysis methods. At the end of the book, feasibility studies for three new forms of buildings using high-strength materials are provided, along with an introduction to high-rise buildings made of new reinforced concrete materials that have been designed, constructed, or are currently under construction in actual engineering projects. The publication of this book will further promote the application of the research results of the "New Reinforced Concrete" project worldwide and will promote the use of high-strength materials and high-performance materials in reinforced concrete structures.
